I loved Orlando's little giggle at the end of that. Brilliant!

@ Ranjit: This is from when Orlando Bloom appeared on the Graham Norton Show in Britain. They're making fun of the fact that so many teenage girls/pubescent girls Google him, talk about him, etc. So they found a fansite forum where they're all, like, claiming to know him, etc. Just girls being silly.

Oh God, I'm getting George Michael forum flashback... lol.

@ Anonymous: Tell me about it. You'd think there were a bunch of teenage girls creaming themselves over the latest WHAM! centerfold.

@Yogchick: Man am I glad those days are over for my part. I remember meeting George, mentioning the fact that I had and instantly gaining about fifty enemies. Fanatics are scary.

@ Anonymous: What do you mean? How did you gain enemies by mentioning that you had met George Michael? Did they not believe you and accused you of lying ... or were they just envious? How did you meet GM by the way?

@Yogchick: It was around the time when nobody really saw him at all, and he hadn't done anything for ages. I made the mistake of mentioning that I'd been lucky and run into him, and half the forum turned green. Quite scary how some people react when that happens....

@ Anonymous: See, that's why I don't care at all that I've been excommunicated from GeorgeMichaelForum.com They are just the dumbest group of women I have ever seen. They truly act like a bunch of thirteen-year-old girls. It's impossible to get an intelligent discussion going on over there. But I am surprised they turned on you. I would have thought they would have bombarded you with all kinds of questions and details rather than simply being envious. Strange. Did they imply that you were lying?

@Yogchick: This was before the days of Patience, so right in the middle of that drought that seemed to be endless, and George seemed unavailable. All this has changed now, obviously, with him doing a million gigs in the past few years. (Finally!)

I wasn't accused of lying directly, but those that hadn't developed a sudden hate, did bombard with questions. Actually, the green ones asked "tricky questions" to make sure I wasn't talking sh*t. lol. Like a fan couldn't have made something up if they really wanted to, right?

All I really said was that he looked good, he seemed happy and was talkative - for a 5-minute conversation with a complete stranger. I don't even remember what I said, or what he said, but I do remember grinning like a Cheshire Cat. Naturally, this was a big deal to me.

In normal fan communities, people are curious and at least pretend to be happy for those lucky ones that get to meet the person they all adore. Those George fans are something else. At least a good 80% of them. It's quite bizarre.

Oh well, those were the days ;)

@ Anonymous: So what were the circumstances under which you met GM? Were you in London? Where did this happen? Any recall as to what you talked about? What was he wearing? Was he with Kenny or by himself? Did you recognize him immediately? Was he nice? What did you say to him? What year did all this happen?
