You pretty much can’t lose with Paul Giamatti. If he’s in it, it’s good. And he knows how to pick ‘em. Case in point: Win Win, a story about ordinary people with everyday challenges and familiar shortcomings, all caught up in a predicament of honorable and not-so-honorable intentions. There really needs to be more movies like this. Regular folks finding themselves resorting to all sorts of actions and rationalizations in a neverending recession. When all is said and done, whatever judgments you may have had fall to the wayside.
